NATIONAL PHILANTROPHY

Our national philanthropy, the “I Have a Dream” foundation helps children from low-income areas reach their education and career goals by providing a long-term program of mentoring, tutoring and enrichment with an assured opportunity for higher education. Every year, our chapters and colonies raise money, promote and support the “I Have a Dream” foundation.

Each school year the sisters of Chi Chapter host a "Back to School" BBQ for the Penn State Community, where all money raised is donated to IHAD.

NATIONAL Service Project

Chi Upsilon Sigma is proud to announce AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) as our National Service Project. Every year, the sorority selects an organization that defines the values and awareness’s they proudly represent and have adapted. This year, every chapter and colony will be working to raise awareness and take action by supporting the mission of AFSP.

Servicing the community is one of the primary goals of Chi Upsilon Sigma. Every chapter and colony performs community service on their campuses and/or in their local communities. The type of community service varies from school to school, depending on what the Women at their particular school and local community see fit.

The sisters of Chi Chapter take pride in servicing the community and have participated in services such as tutoring at a local elementary school at State College, participants of Ferguson townships adopt a road, promoting Breast Cancer Awareness, canning for Penn State's THON, and much more.
